PhD Studentship

School of Social Science, History and Philosophy Department of Philosophy

Two three-year, full-time studentships are available with funding from the European Research Council (ERC). The studentships are associated with a research project in philosophical logic and the philosophy of mathematics, concerned with higher-order logic, the logical paradoxes, modality and the foundation of set theory.

The studentship will pay fees (for EU students), a maintenance grant at the standard AHRC rates (£15,290 for 2009/10), and will begin no later than 1 October 2010. Applicants must have an MA or equivalent in Philosophy or some related field by the commencement date.
