The Indian Association for Research in Computing Science , and the Programme Committee of FSTTCS 2009 announce a Pre-conference Workshop on Structural Aspects of Rationality (STAR) to be held in the Department of Computer Science, Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, India, on 13-14 December 2009.

Aim and Scope:

Predicting rational play is the central concern of game theory, and game models are built on rationality assumptions. Re-examining notions of rationality in new contexts has led to many interesting questions for game theory, as for instance in games of infinite duration, motivated by computation theory. The Workshop is intended as an occasion for exchanging ideas on foundations of game theory, especially on structural and computational arguments for the analysis of solution concepts.

The workshop will also include short contributed talks; those interested in giving a talk are requested to write to one of the organizers with a title and one page abstract before October 15, 2009 .

Participation in the workshop is open to everyone and will be limited only by logistical constraints. Registration for the workshop will be possible from the FSTTCS registration site.
